Im so overwhelmed!

I was surprised when my video had 200 hits, and now it’s closer to 800 000! It’s unbelieveable! And it’s so many people that are contacting me everywhere, and it’s surely impossible to answer them all. I really appreciate all the positive feedback I get, and all the nice things people are saying about me, it’s so unreal and I can’t quite believe it.

This evening I have my good friend (and newly hired manager – lucky me) Marion Larsen Teigen (she’s single) over for a visit. We are eating tacos, drinking a few beers, reading feedback from my movie, and watching movies. The twins are with their daddy, while I enjoy a quiet evening for a change.

I will update the blog regularly, and try to make some more funny videos of my twins! So stay tuned…:)

  1. I loved the video, so much fun! And I wanted to tell you: you’re a great mother. Don’t let other people tell you otherwise. Spanking/hitting children is not a good method and I hope someday everyone knows that. I love Norway’s policy, I wish it was the same in my country. Good luck and best wishes to you and your family.

  2. Hi! You’re an amazing mom. It is so amazingly sweet that you patiently tried to get each little one to bed. I’m sure you’re going to have some frustrating times sometimes, but the great times will over shine the not so great times 🙂
I have two of my own and they’re all big and grown up now and I miss the times when they were little. Enjoy being a mom!! 🙂

  3. I think you’re a great Mom! You’re just doing what any Mothers out there in the world do everyday, you’re trying new ways to get your little boys to bed. I am not a Mom but I can definitely appreciate the things all Mothers do to care for and raise their children. It’s the hardest, yet most rewarding thing out there! I hope to become a Mom one day too. 🙂

  4. I saw your bedtime madness video. We are the same and do the same nurturing acts you mentioned to get our twin girls to bed. We get a lot of criticism here in the US, too. I just wanted to say great job!

  5. Hej Henriette

En varm og kærlig hilsen herfra 🙂

  17. Read an article about the video in a NY newspaper. I thought my 3 yr old was a handful at bedtime. You look like you have a lot of patience with those handsome boys and handled that wonderfully. They are lucky to have you.

  19. Thanks for sharing that! You are an incredible Mom…you stayed so calm! Hitting Children is NEVER the answer, and Bravo to Norway for that law!! This is the cutest video….and will someday be a fantastic memory for them to watch!

  20. I watched your video and read the comments on your blog and I agree with them you seem like a very patient, kind, young lady. My second child would come to our bed every night until he was about 3 and then it just stopped. He is now off to university and I miss the days he crawled into our bed. I would like to say though I did spank my children and I am also a good mom. Don’t let the haters turn you into a hater. If you choose to not spank your children that is most defiantly your choice and others should respect that. Any discipline or reward system used improperly can be abusive, there must always be patients and love behind every decision a parent makes. Keep up the good work and treasure every moment with those adorable boys.

  22. Ha – so been there with mine as well! Sometimes if one just won’t go to bed I throw in the towel and let him sit with me in my office while I work and then bring him into bed with me. I’ve also had to start using the, “You can stay up as long as you want, but you have to be in your room.” Amazingly they’ll stay up for about 30 mins and then just turn off the light and go to sleep (they’re 3yo and 4yo). I agree – no hitting!

  24. Let me echo what others are saying, you are an amazing Mom. I can not believe your patience and obvious good humour. There are many moments as a parent where you need to choose between getting angry or just laughing..you appear to have the strength to laugh. Great job. Keep having fun.

  27. You are really doing such a beautiful job as a mother…of twins, nonetheless! Please do not feel it necessary to defend yourself against anonymous posters who prey on individuals who succeed in life. That is the dark side of the internet.

  28. Bravo! As a mother of twins I laughed so hard, not at you, but because I know exactly what you’re going through and it’s nice to be able to laugh instead of cry for a change. 🙂

  29. That’s AWESOME!!!! I laughed so much and that’s becuase I went through the same when I separated my twin boys when they were 2 years old. I have to say though that today they are 5 and……nothing has changed haha!!! 😉 It’s a crazy life but when you sit all relaxed at night, once they finaly fall asleep, and think about them and all the crazy stuff they did during the day….an smile comes immediatly to your face, right? All the best and keep laughing WITH them 🙂 don’t care what other people think about you, those are probably men or single woman who has NO IDEA HOW HARD IS TO RICE A CHILD….. Or 2 😉

  30. I think you have an amazing amount of patience and that makes you a good mom. I’m a grandmother now but remember the days when my children were little – I had 3 and they are about 1 year apart from each other so it’s kinda like your situation – and I went through the same thing. Keep up the good work.

  31. I just saw your video and you’re incredibly patient. Hats off to you! When my son was about two and a half years old, I had similar games with him and it drove me nearly mad. (It didn’t help that I was eight months pregnant at the time…) Keep up the good work!

  32. I am the mother of 5. No twins. I thought your video was hilarious .. it shows any child I’ve ever had.. hatred for bed time .. most of mine are grown up and I can remember long nights of.. I’m thirsty.. I’m hungry… or you dont care I’m starving lol. Knowing they’ve had supper and desert… to me it shows the wondrous joys of raising children and twins I can imagine are double the trouble. No one has the right to judge anyone until they have swept infront of their own front door.
I can see how you’ve kept your good figure haha. Good luck with those two boys. My grandmother told me. When they are young they walk all over your toes… when they become teens… they walk on your heart. So far she has been right. 🙂
Those who judge… will be judge harder in the end .. :))

  33. Brought back memories of helping my daughter get her triplets to bed when they were that age. Thank God they are 12 now with a whole new set of problems!!! The teen years coming up. This film is so hysterically funny. I know how tired you must be. Hang in and keep smiling. It will get better and worse. Hugs. A grandma in Ohio.

  34. Glad you are getting more positive feedback! People can be extremely judgmental online and I don’t understand why. As long as both you and your kids are getting enough sleep (at least most of the time!), and you are happy with your system, then it is the right system. And you clearly have one of the most important things necessary for parenting – an amazing sense of humor!!
